Baby Pics! Here's Ryan

Little Ryan... how cute you were. This baby was so happy, always smiling. He reminds me of my new nephew Lincoln(Visit pictures of my nephew at http://www.adamqueenimages.com/weddings. He's probably the first kid up there.), plus... his name is Ryan... that's my brothers name. I have to thank Darcy for hooking me up with this amazing family, it's great to have amazing friends. Thanks Darcy! If you want to see images of Darcy's beautiful Daughter go visit my website here It is Xmas and the Holidays this time of year, but when I shoot my pictures, I try to make the pictures be viable for all year long. Although there are a few pictures here for Xmas I try not and concentrate on that. I don't think Ryan would have let me concentrate on that anyway. haha. Anyway... Jeff and Stephanie-OSU Engagement

All I can say about this couple is that they are wonderful! It's amazing to see how happy they are, laughing and joking with each other all of the time. For a couple that doesn't like to get their picture taken, they sure are photogenic. Jeff mentioned while we were walking around shooting at OSU that he probably had more pictures of his 4runner then he did of the two of them together. This made me want to make these pictures that much better, it also reminds me of my girlfriend and I (I guess that's what happens when you are the photographer though, always behind the camera and never in front of it.) You guys are amazing friends to me... I wish you still lived here! Congratulations and I'll be out to visit soon enough!

What can I say about this couple... Well, first thing I can say is that they are full of life and very much in love. I don't know too much about how they met, but I do know they grew up in the boonies. Both of them lived one town away from each other and they are getting married in a church that connects their two towns together. I wish I could shoot their wedding, but I had already booked their date when they got to me. We did the shoot at the Darby House in Galloway. They knew the director of operations, which meant that we had free reign of the property(most people aren't allowed going up to the highly protected buffalo or near the barns(Thanks Ashley!)) Also... I'm not a fan of my blog layout... Pictures are too small. So some of them you can click on and blow up. I'll be trying to put together a new blog soon! Stay posted and don't forget to show some blog love and leave a comment!

Wow... this couple seemed to be so in love. They had a beautiful wedding at Central College Church, then some images at Inniswood Gardens, and their reception following at the Worthington Inn. This couple was very relaxed on their special day and it shows in their photos. Congratulations and enjoy your sneak peak!

Well I never thought that I'd be seeing some of my friends from grade-school again, I thought that part of my life had come and gone. I haven't kept in touch with anyone when I was young and just assumed that was the way it was going to be forever. But to my surprise, I get a call from one of my best friends sister(whom last time I saw was probably 6). She said that my mother and her mother were keeping in touch and that they were looking for a wedding photographer. So we talked for probably 45min for the first time and she decided that she would like me to shoot her wedding, after all... I'm going to know tons of the guests and will be easy for me to get great shots of them. After it was all said in done, I went up to cleveland to meet up with them for the first time, I have to say... it was just like being young again.

So we headed out on my old stomping grounds in Chagrin Falls, that place hasn't changed one bit. I knew all of the locations, even though last time I saw the place I was 11 yrs old. Jessica and Mike are a perfect couple... except for maybe their height difference(hahaha, Mike is like 6.5). Jessica... maybe 5.5. Anyway.... I have never had so much fun with a couple before, they joked and laughed all day, just seemed extremely happy. After the shoot we decided to stop by her brothers house(my old best friend) we chatted for a bit and had a beer. I can't wait to shoot pics at their wedding and hear all of the stories from the years that I have missed.

Destination Wedding

So... my friend hit me up and asked if I'd join him in North Carolina for a Destination Wedding shoot, How could I pass that up. So we headed out Thursday morning for an 11hr drive, ended up getting in at 9:30. The entire time the only thing I could think of was to get some surf in, I haven't been surfing in like 4 years. So we decided to wake up early before we met the bride and groom and go rent some boards, the hurricane was coming up the coast so the surf was suppose to be head high, ended up only being about waist high. That didn't matter though, I got to sit on a board in the ocean... the best feeling ever. Once you do it, you'll understand. Just Ask my friend who surfed for the first time.

Anyway, back to the wedding, It was actually beautiful, overlooking the ocean, all of the groomsmen wore sandals and the bride and groom were the most fun couple I have ever seen at a wedding. So many things went wrong for them, but it all ended up coming out perfectly. Check out some of the images from the time I was down there.

Well I have to say that I have never met a high school senior who is so relaxed in front of the camera, she said she was nervous... but as you can see it didn't come across that way. Britt is an absolutely beautiful woman who is interested in theatre, she hopes to go to school in Chicago, and who wouldn't. So I asked her to start laughing and on cue she pulled it off, I guess those acting classes have paid off! Britt thanks for having me shoot your pictures, you will remember these for the rest of your life...trust me.. mine were horrible and are still up in my parents and grandparents home. Good Luck with the final year of school, let me know if your in a play anytime soon!

OK... so my friend Chad(founder of www.miaandmaggie.com) sent me a link to a website last night with amazing pet photography. It got me excited to shoot some of our fury little friends, and since I only have one dog and all of my friends who have dogs are at work... and it's a nasty day out, I decided to have fun with my own playful Lab mix. This is Daisy, the fury love of my life. Her personality really comes out in the images. If anyone would like some images of their pets please let me know, it'd be fun to have a day out with the mischievous little loves of our lives.

Well... what can I say about my friends? I guess I'll start off saying that I have never met a family that is more willing to help anyone out, ever before in my life. They are the nicest pair of people that you will ever meet, and if you don't believe me... ask all of my other friends and they will agree. So this couple decided that it was time to make the leap into having a child, what huge responsibility, I admire them for that, and on Good Friday baby Addison decided to join this world. What an amazing day it was for the new parents. As all parents go, they wanted images of their beautiful baby girl, but who would have thought they wanted images at only 7 days old. I do have to thank them for inviting me over to shoot some images of their newborn, it was the first time that I ever attempted to photograph a baby and if you look below you will see that we achieved some great results. Thanks so much to my friends and I wish you and Addison the best, healthiest life.

Spring Has Come!

What a beautiful day is was to shoot some great images. How cooperative these two little ones were, they make an excellent brother and sister! It was all about wrestling and hugging, what family isn't this way. The natural light that we shot in was perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better day. You can really tell how much this family loves each other by the way they interact, it was smiles all day long. I'm sure they are going to have a great Easter with close family, and now hopefully they can share some images with them too! There will be more playing outside with Spring right on the edge of being here for awhile!

Wow... What a great day I had on Saturday shooting images of Nora's daughter, She was a delight. I believe she is just about a year old, She is just starting to walk. She was a firecracker, laughing and talking like crazy, She absolutely loves the camera, although I don't know why I was shooting the images. Nora's husband seems to have the hobby of being a bit of a photographer himself. Nora and her husband are great parents and it shows in the photos. I got some great images in their beautiful home, take a look below and let me know what you think.

I wanted to thank Jennifer Brown for allowing me to create a great friendly head shot for her. What a great day we had, just enough wind to get her hair blowing to make her look like a model, it was a little cold, but it was worth it. Spring time is coming and is a great time to recreate yourself, what better way then show your clients who you are... friendly, respectful, outgoing, and willing to work for them. A friendly face is so much nicer then a boring snapshot of yourself on a grey or brown background. Lets make you have more life in your photo. Here are some images that I have recently shot. O.K. So today I went downtown to meet a friend who is very interested in photography. He wanted some tips of the trade. I decided that a good idea would be to go out and shoot together. Some ideas that we concentrated on were learning about Aperture and Shutter speed. We walked around downtown and shot landscapes and each other. What a great way to teach, to be out in the environment with your camera and to be able to explain exactly what is happening with your images as you shoot them. Here are some of the results that I had while shooting today. Hopefully he will be posting his soon as well.

OK, So yesterday was a beautiful day in Columbus, Ohio... well, not as beautiful as today, but I got a chance to get out and do some shooting. I wasn't feeling very creative as the day started but by the end of the shoot, we were getting some great images. Hair and Make-up done by Laura Young. Check out her blog through my links. I had the great opportunity to photograph a pregnant woman while I was on vacation in Florida. She seems to be a peace and balanced with the world around her. Also while on my Florida trip I had a chance to work on some personal images, it's been quite some time. To be able to run around with out worrying about freezing to death is a nice change.
